Observations of planning directions among the three scenarios

Similarities:

    1. Proposed development is mostly concentrated along the railway alignment.

    2. Commercial and residential developments are mostly proposed along the railway alignment.

    3. Existing rural landscape and cultural heritages need to be preserved.

    4. Making use of cultural and environmental resources for promoting tourism.

    5. More community facilities (shopping plaza, schools, community centre, library and etc¡K.) is required.

    6. Organic farms are common components to be included. North of Tai Lam Country Park (Ma Pau Ling/ Tsing Tam Village / Po Lo Shan / Ho Pui ) and south of Lam Tsuen Country Park (Kong A Leng / Tai Kong Po/ Tsat Sing Kong) are regarded as suitable locations for organic farming.

    7. Kam Tin center, Shui Tau and Shui Mei Tsuen are regarded as important cultural zones for tourism development.

    8. Low-density residential development oriented.
